Using SimView

The SimView map viewer is a tool developed by LEAM for viewing geospatial data interactively in a web-based environment.  Users can pan, zoom, and overlay any layers within a given SimView folder.  Individual layers within each folder are referred to as SimMaps.

To turn a layer on or off for overlay, click within the box next to that layer's title.  Clicking on the title itself will cause the title to be highlighted, and will reset the view.  The details and comments below a SimMap refer only to the layer (if any) that is highlighted.  Note that a given layer can be brought to the front of the display by first de-selecting and then re-selecting that layer.

Note:  SimMaps are best viewed in the Mozilla Firefox web browser.  SimView will work within Internet Explorer but may cause minor display problems.
